17 Feb Developing different skills
According to the Collins English Dictionary, “The practical aspects of something involve real situations and events, rather than just ideas and theories.” The Life Orientation Department will be developing different skill sets with all their grades during the course of the year. The aim will be to find the most useful skills and implement them during their Life Orientation lessons:
The Grade 8s and 9s learn the skill of table setting and the use of the utensils. We are looking at this basic skill to allow the pupils to realise that the way you set a table could influence your meal, from the ambiance that you create to how important your guests feel.
Thank you to Mr Shane Rogers and the Empact Group for assisting the Grade 8s and 9s with this task.
