24 Apr Earth Day 2020
On Earth Day 2020, we seize all the tools and actions that we have, big and small, to change our lives and change our world – not for one day, but forever. While the coronavirus may force us to keep our distance, it will not force us to keep our voices down.
Earth Day is a worldwide movement. This is the 50th year of celebrating Earth Day and the focus this year has been on the Bee and the wonderful contributions it makes to our Earth.
Mrs van Antwerpen’s project was created to increase public awareness of environmental issues. She challenged Grades 5 – 7 to produce a poster or image of what Earth Day means to them and, needless to say, they took up the challenge and have produced some awesome pieces.
