31 Jul Farewell Mr Hemus, we will miss you!
Mr Phil Hemus’s association with Uplands goes back to January 1974 some 46 years ago when he started his first day at Uplands as a pupil. Since then he has had many roles – Past Pupil Association involvement in the late 1980’s, parent, employee (twice),Board member, Finance Committee chair and a term as acting Executive Head. Needless to say, he has developed an incredible bond with Uplands.
He, together with his wife, Liduina, will be moving to Johannesburg for a year while they travel around South Africa, deciding on where they want eventually to spend their retirement.
Mr Hemus is looking forward to having the freedom to do more cycling and play more golf, as well as pursuing other hobbies and interests. He will also be immersing himself in projects and work, giving back to the world that has given him so much and for which he is so grateful.
