20 Oct Grade 10 Drama pupils’ fairytale productions
On Friday 16 October, the Grade 10 Drama pupils presented their fairytale productions … with a twist! “The tale of uSindi” replaced the classic Cinderella and “’Lil Red in the Hood” provided some wonderful comic antics for the Grade 1s. Performing in the amphitheatre, the Grade 10 thespians took to the stage like pros and went all out for their keenly-awaited audience.
There was plenty of laughter, singing and dancing and even sock-stuffed bras and glued-on talons for the deliciously extravagant stepmother and sister of uSindi! A karate-kicking granny and two hip-hop wolves in the second production made for superb entertainment and we didn’t know who was having more fun – the Grade 1s or the 10s themselves! Congratulations to the Gr 10 Drama class who performed these productions as their final practical exam for the year, “I have no doubt they will excel,” said Mrs Emma Storm, Head of Culture at Uplands College.
