Mpumalanga Dressage Championship

Mpumalanga Dressage Championship

The Uplands Equestrian Centre hosted the provincial status show of Mpumalanga Dressage Championship, as well as the national status show of the DSA Dressage Challenge on the 1st and 2nd May. For the DSA Dressage Challenge, the same two judges travel across the country and judge riders on the same dressage tests. All scores are collected on a national score sheet and riders have the opportunity to evaluate their performance against that of riders across South Africa. The 1st and 2nd May proved a very cold and wet weekend, but this did not deter any riders.

Uplands riders who won the Mpumalanga Dressage Champion title:
Oliveah Fourie riding Biscuit in Pony Rider Preliminary with a score of 73.42%
Phebe Tyson riding Swazi-Lizkhar Sky Alliance in Children’s Preliminary with a score of 67.89%
Chloe Turner riding Our Folly in Children’s Novice with a score of 69.38%
Ellen Holland riding Fall of Troy in Junior Novice with a score of 66.60%

Tracey Hearne riding Dottier Valkyrie in Adult Preliminary with a score of 67.50%
Friederike Koep riding Boston placed Reserve Champion in Adult Elementary with a score of 67.39%

We are extremely proud of the above results and wish our riders well for the rest of the competitive year.
