07 Mar Show And Tell
‘Show and Tell’ benefits young children in many ways. These early language experiences help children to build effective communication and listening skills that are vital to their learning. It also encourages their emotional development, as they share their interests, home lives, and joys with friends.
The Grade 00 children were treated to an informative and hands-on experience when Kayla brought in a real Goss Hawk to the classroom for her peers to see. She went on to explain how the poor bird had accidentally flown into a window at their house and had sadly died. With the help of her mum, Kayla bravely shared information about the bird. Her peers were then allowed to touch the silky feathers of the hawk and observe the sharp claws before her mum took the bird home.
