14 Nov #UplandsJourney2020 (Departure of Group 4)
“No pyjamas” were the words that echoed down the corridor while Mrs Sharon van Reenen was checking the Ingwe girls’ bags before they went to their Journey send-off. Some girls thought they were going glamping. The girls made a grand entrance as they walked and danced to the quad for their send-off. Mrs Lisa Karantonis and Lwandzi Dlamini (who spoke on behalf of the Ingwe team of 2019), reminded the girls how unique they are and that each tribe mate brings a unique element to the team. “You must be proud to be an Ingwe (Leopard), which is an adaptable creature. There are no two leopards with the same spots; their spots are completely different like humans fingerprints. Embrace each other’s uniqueness, after all every leopard on earth is breathtakingly beautiful.” Thank you to Mrs Unenceba Magagula and Miss Ashlee Botha who will be mentoring our girls on this Journey.
Remember girls this is a life changing experience, challenge yourself physically and mentally.
