A school grows into greatness… when we plant trees under whose shade our future generations shall sit.
We believe in the power and value of education to change lives and change the world. Our vision is to be able to widen access to an Uplands education and enhance the opportunities available to our pupils. We will do this by providing the very best resources and facilities to enable our pupils to achieve their potential and ambitions.
The purpose of the Uplands Foundation is to nurture the spirit of giving and to raise funds.
“…be sure that every little deed counts, that every word has power, and that we can do, everyone, our share to redeem the world.” AJ Heschel – Every Deed Counts
Philanthropy has long been a tradition at Uplands. Unlike many educational institutions, Uplands does not benefit from an endowment and we are therefore reliant on the ongoing generosity of our vibrant and unique community of parents, Old Uplanders, Board Members and friends. We are deeply grateful to all those who donate to this endeavour and continue this long-standing tradition.
Along with effective planning of fee income, we rely on the generous tradition of giving to achieve major developments. If you are able to, we invite you to contribute to the shaping of future generations.
Through an ambitious and inspiring fundraising and engagement programme supported by Uplands, the PTA and UPPA, we will focus our efforts on:
Raising funds for transformational bursaries by offering life-changing bursaries designed to help those from the most challenging situations.
Raising funds to further develop a campus to meet the needs of our current and future Uplands families.
Ways of Giving
In giving, we also find our own meaning; the act of helping others does so much to develop our own sense of community and purpose.
You can make your donation by electronic funds transfer (EFT), debit order, or through our 3D-Secure online payment platform (hosted by PayFast).

It is with immense gratitude for the incredible support given to our various causes that we provide an opportunity to have our donors’ names recorded for posterity on the donor boards which line the halls of Webster House. Collectively, the generosity of the Uplands community goes back generations and the gifts we receive today, and in days gone by, make a profound difference to the lives of the children in our care.
At Uplands, our unwavering vision is to nurture young minds, empowering them to reach their full potential and become self-confident, happy individuals who make a significant impact on the world.
