What an amazing event Founders’ Evening was!
As the Autumn sun set over the College oval, our Uplands pupils delivered a spectacular showcase of talent that captivated everyone in the audience. From our endearing Pre-Preparatory dancers and singers to the Preparatory choirs, the musical talent on display, the engaging College drama and the unforgettable Preparatory finale all had the entire crowd singing and waving flags.
Our Chairman of the Uplands Board, Mr Greg Dane, spoke about the fundamental importance of kindness in all aspects of life, while Executive Head, Mr Sean Carlisle, reminded us of Uplands’ 97-year legacy and the vision and courage that created the special school that is Uplands, and the wonderful community that has been built up around it. The special candle-lighting ceremony reminded us of all of the foundations laid before us and the Uplands’ shining light that is carried forward to future generations.
