#uplandswhiteriver #2026UplandsFounders&FriendsWeekend
Friday, 29 May 2026 and Saturday, 30 May 2026
Music was at the heart of the 2026 Uplands Founders and Friends Weekend, bringing together old friends, current families, alumni and visitors for a weekend filled with outstanding live entertainment.
Friday evening opened with the immensely popular Majozi, whose relaxed style, heartfelt lyrics and engaging stage presence created the perfect atmosphere to begin the weekend. As the audience gathered under the Lowveld skies, Majozi’s well-loved songs had the crowd singing along and enjoying a memorable evening together. The concert also carried a deeper purpose, with proceeds supporting the Casterbridge Music Development Academy following the devastating Picasso’s fire.
Saturday afternoon offered a different pace as Anton, an accomplished one-man band, provided the perfect soundtrack to a sunny Lowveld afternoon. His chilled, easy-listening music created a relaxed atmosphere where guests could unwind, catch up with friends and family and enjoy the spirit of the weekend. Whether visitors were enjoying refreshments or simply soaking up the surroundings, Anton’s performance added a warm and welcoming backdrop to the day’s activities.
Well, after the sun had set, the energy shifted into celebration mode as Me & Mr Green took to the stage. Known for their vibrant performances and crowd-pleasing repertoire, the band transformed the evening into a true festival atmosphere. From classic sing-alongs to contemporary favourites, the dance floor remained full as guests embraced the spirit of friendship, fun and community that defines the Founders & Friends Weekend.
Together, the three performances created a wonderful musical journey across the weekend – from Majozi’s soulful Friday evening concert, to Anton’s laid-back Saturday afternoon set and finally the high-energy celebration delivered by Me & Mr Green on Saturday night.
