What a fantastic evening we had, celebrating the 10- and 20-year reunions of the Classes of 2016 and 2006 on Saturday, 30 May!
The evening began with a welcome gin cocktail expertly crafted by the team from Gin & Co, featuring the special Uplands Foundation Gin, and setting the tone for a memorable night of reconnecting and reminiscing. It was particularly special to welcome alumni who had travelled all the way from Brazil and the UK to be part of the celebrations.
There was no shortage of laughter, stories and catch-ups as old friendships picked up exactly where they left off. Alumni enjoyed a wonderful trip down memory lane, made even more entertaining by a few inside stories shared by Mrs Sharon van Reenen. It was also a delight to have several former teachers pop in to reconnect with past pupils – moments like these are what make reunions so meaningful. Thank you to everyone who joined us and helped make the reunion such a resounding success. To our staff, past staff and, most importantly, the alumni who came together for the occasion, thank you for bringing such warmth, laughter and camaraderie to the evening, celebrating old memories, lifelong friendships and the enduring spirit of the Uplands community.
A sincere thank-you must also go to Shane, Molly and the Empact team for the outstanding catering and hospitality throughout the evening.
