On Friday, 10 October 2025, Uplands College held its annual Valediction Service. This chapel service, grounded in our Anglican foundation, marks the official end of our matriculants’ time at Uplands College.
Mr Matthew Jennings, our school chaplain, shared an inspirational sermon on what the school leavers need for success in the wide world – courage. Symbolic processions, a reverent charge, faith-inspired hymns and a moving address from the two Head School Mentors, Zoe Zitha and Gabriel Buchanan, were all important components of this celebratory occasion. The service ended with the matriculants ringing the school bell, signalling the end of their journey, before singing our school anthem, “Come the day”, one final time as Uplands College pupils with the rest of the school.
