Since leaving Uplands in 2016, I have completed my BSc (Hons) in Animal Science at Stellenbosch University. I am currently pursuing my MSc in Aquaculture through the University of Stellenbosch while doing a 6-month internship on a tilapia farm on Lake Victoria, Kenya.
What I loved about Uplands was that there were so many opportunities to get involved in all aspects of life, whether in academics, sport, culture or service.
One thing I would like to encourage pupils to do, and that would be to enrol in the President’s Award (Duke of Edinburgh Award Programme). It is a highly esteemed and very rewarding initiative that involves different aspects of life and which may open up many doors for you in the future.
