Uplands Preparatory Grade 7 Final Chapel Service and the licensing of the new Chaplain

By 6 December 2024No Comments

The Final Service of the Preparatory Term was a special one, especially for our Grade 7 Leavers.

The Service was packed, starting off with the licensing of the Chaplain (Mr Matthew Jennings) by Archdeacon Mark Spratt, awarding prestigious awards at the end of the Eucharist Service, and bidding the Grade 7s farewell in a special way. At the end of the Service, the Grade 7s came up and lit a candle to exemplify the light they have shone at Uplands Preparatory. Mr Scott Hauptfleisch read out the meaning of the candle and Chaplain Matthew prayed for and blessed the 7s. They then processed out with their candles as a sign that they would leave their legacy light burning, and also go to College and shine their light there too. They have run their race well and have had a blessed time at Uplands Preparatory. It was a special way to end off the term for our Grade 7s and the whole community.
